Meet Phil

Phil Chisholm was born in Goose Bay, NL, and raised across Canada. Halifax is home. His mother is French Canadian from Montreal, and his father was a proud Cape Bretoner. Phil studied Mechanical Engineering at McGill and built a career solving complex business and manufacturing challenges across North America, Europe, and Asia, including years working in the U.S.

As the founder of Filzer Enterprises and FilzerTech, he created over 250 products, earned 10+ patents, and led international business ventures. His steady leadership and problem-solving skills have been tested in high-pressure situations, including managing operations in a $200 million company in the U.S.

Phil is a builder – not a career politician. When his children’s school needed safer pathways, he organized parents, pushed officials, and got real change done. He believes in action, accountability, and smart solutions.

Phil has always been passionate about community involvement and public service. With global experience and a track record of practical leadership, he remains committed to bringing real solutions to the challenges we face.
